From searching through hundreds of options to shipping times and alterations, it can take anywhere between ten months to a whole year for dress shopping. This may sound stressful, but try to keep in mind how long it can take for your designer to get every stitch just right and sent back to us. There is no such thing as starting your search too early!
Bring Us Your Inspo
While prepping for your bridal appointment, look for some dress inspiration on social media and in magazines. Bring along pictures of your favorite looks with you to our boutique so that we can get a sense of your personal style and share in your vision. This will help us show you dresses that fit your tastes earlier in your appointment, and help you find your “one” that much sooner!
Undergarments
The best way to prepare for your fitting is to dress as similarly as possible to what you’ll look like on your wedding day. Ideally, you’ll wear nude or white undergarments that are strapless or seamless to your appointment, so that you won’t have to worry about any unwanted flashes of color or bulky fabric distracting from the look and feel of the dresses.
Guests
Bringing a few of your closest friends and family along for your appointment is one of the best ways to make your shopping experience an exciting one. We’ve found that brides can really benefit from being surrounded by loved ones at their fittings, because trusted opinions throughout such a significant decision-making process are invaluable. That being said, we suggest that you’re picky with who you invite to your appointment, because having too many opinions can be just as challenging as not having enough.
